Sniffing does just as good a job...

Las Vegas is over hyped and not worth a second visit. It is a worthless cesspool of excess and indulgence.

If you are weak.
I visit semi-regularly... and never sit at a gaming table.

Considering it is where our server is located...
I love the city.

There was a heck of a lot less the last time I was there than there was in 84'. I was there in 78' and all I remember was sand and some of the main older hotels.

I drove up from Phoenix a couple years ago. The Hoover Dam and the dam trip were more interesting. I stayed at Circus Circus. The hotel near where Tupac was shot. I walked down the strip and back. And then took $100 out of an ATM. I lost $20 and drank about 6 beers. I saw all I wanted there and there really is no reason to return. If I was compelled to gamble there are places closer.

You saw nothing... and I am sorry about Circus Circus... try a nice hotel next time.

Animal habitats at MGM Flamingo and Tropicana, museums and exhibits, shopping and the attractions in each casino's mall, free crap, go through a timeshare presentation for free meal and show tickets, free lounge shows, Fremont St...

I have seen Blue Man Group, George Carlin (twice), Penn & Teller, Amazing Johnathan...

I could go on...

Things that will never happen in Smalbany.

Blue Man Group was here. It was a great show. And if I wanted shows I could go to Boston or NYC. Same goes for everything else. They offer nothing I can't find within a couple hours of here. Except they feed people to lions there. I missed that show by a couple days when I was there.

Yes... BMG was here... once.

Six days a week there.
When was the last time a big name comic was anywhere within 120 miles of here?
Video game, electronics, or porn conventions?
Hell... they even have NASCAR twice a year.

Bottom line... you do not have to plan a trip to Vegas. Whenever you are there something is happening.

I would go to Vegas before NYC anyday.

We had Larry The Cable Guy if you are into that crap, Dane Cook again crap, The guys from Whose Line is it? And most conventions do not impress me. And NASCAR sucks.
