The correct thing you should have said is....

"Who is your Missus? Is this her car?"

I think all US citizens should learn English first. Before we demand anyone else learn it.

and i have to admit. A unified world language would makes a lot of things much easier.

And for this reason alone it should be english...

English has the most slang and multi definition words. When we meet aliens, we should be able to confuse the hell out of them while we all understand it

Everywhere in this planet it is required of you to speak more than one language... even if the guide line is not enforced. All schools in this planet teach more than one language.

The supervisors and the workers are in fault. They should know better.

I oppose any stupid immigration law in the US. But goddammit they are not helping themselves by not learning the fucking language!

...and Im sorry, but if you made it all the way up to be a supervisor, and you only know ONE language, someone screwed up.

this is only the case because america doesn't have an 'official language' despite the fact that many countries teach multiple languages in their school systems, if i go to any of them i am expected to know their national language before i can work or be taken seriously. when i was in the Philippines, almost everyone spoke English, but i was still expected to learn and use at very least BASIC Tagolog in order to do business. why is it that in the rest of the world, if you don't learn a national language you are ignorant when you visit or a silly tourist, but when you come to America you are ignorant if you don't learn the language of your new comers? gotta love double standards

at very least, people should be expect to learn the most common language in a country, in this case your choices are English and Bad English. America may be a melting pot, but without some unifying factor, things can't be held together.
