I have just been laid off *again* for the second time in 2 years.. the studio "have been unable to secure any new projects in the foreseeable future but would like to thank each of you for the hard work, continued effort and determination" and therefore had to let 85% of us go..

this is certainly true of a lot of company's these days.. back when i started making games (20 years ago) it was one of the most secure industries about.. but it now seems that as soon as you ship a title they ship your ass to the back of the dole line...

On a slightly better note - discovered that i've got class c and ce on my DL (cuz i'm an old fart) so i can drive 7 1/2 tonners and deliver fridges for curry's instead..

Its a career change that sounds cool..
