I am trying to take a line drawing of a rail yard and put it into our 1990's software.  The software only allows (rail)  tracks to be entered in horizontally, on specific lines.  the bloody drawing goes diagonally, etc.   So I have to ...

Oh FUCK IT!  I  can't even explain it without pictures!

Bloody hell!

I do NOT want to do this.  Someone, take it away!!!

This may be tedious, but for lack of a better solution could you put in the diagonal lines as a series of small steps?

YES!!!!  Good catch Evo.  It's called, in railroadese, a ladder.   BUT!  I am going from 8 tracks to 16 tracks and they ARE NOT STRAIGHT!  And when I think I get it started, I find myself cramped again and having to rearrange everything again.

Even on paper, I have spent more time with the eraser than with the pencil.

Daughter just walked in.  Maybe she can make it work out.  I don't think I can see it anymore.

I would post a pic, but it's for a client.  Googled.  This on is simple compared to what I am dealing with.  Throw two ladders down the middle of the main yard, one L-R and one R-L.
