I didn't want to announce this until it was official, but I need to reclaim my win for this month.

Pending a background check, I am now a Associate Services Consultant (software implementation specialist) for the Atlanta division of AllScripts, a nationwide medical software company. I worked retail and I have tutored, and although I have done corporate/IT work before, those were seasonal or part time. So this, in a sense, is my first real job. I will be flying out to Raleigh, NC., on February 13th to begin my training.

Well, that's one New Year's Resolution out of the way. Now if only I could lose about 30 more lbs.

Mohit, from what I understand, "medical software" is a blanket term meaning software used by hospitals, clinics, chemists, and medical insurance companies to store and keep track of patients and their medical information. I believe it also includes accounting and billing software used by such facilities.
