Decent flick. Watched it on Netflix the other day. Not Great, but not bad either. And yes, it is a gory movie, but combat of that time was in your face, hand to hand, and brutal. Although movie wasn't true to history, seemed true to time period. Not claiming to be an expert by any means, just mho.
It slowed down in the second half but it was still quite watchable. The second half never lived up to the promise of the first, but a decent flick all the same.
