One of the best grilled appetizers is bacon wrapped jalapeno peppers. This recipe is so easy to make and it only consist of 3 ingredients; fresh jalapenos peppers, cream cheese, and bacon. The jalapeno peppers are first sliced in half then seeded, stuffed with cream cheese, wrapped with bacon and grilled. You should consider wearing gloves when slicing and seeding the jalapenos because they can burn your hands. With the play offs coming up and the super bowl near this is a perfect recipe for game day. Enjoy.

Ingredients:
6 fresh jalapeno peppers (halved lengthwise and seeded)
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
12 slices bacon

Cooking Instructions:

Step 1: Pre-heat an outdoor grill to high heat. Spread the cream cheese into the jalapeno halves. Wrap bacon around the stuffed jalapenos and secure with a toothpick.

Step 2: Place onto the grill and cook until the bacon is crispy.
(Makes 6 Servings)

Damn good snack, plan on putting a few out for a UFC night we're hosting next month. Was too damn cold last time to fire up the grill though, they're just not the same in the oven.

BTW, only pussies take the seeds and veins out

how does the cheese stay in when you are cooking the top? cream cheese is thick, but looks more like cream when heated.

If wrapped well enough, the cheese won't run. Also, it can brown and crisp on the grill. Tis why the grill is recommended over the oven. It's sort of like any other cheese in that regard.

Okay...I made these this weekend but tried to do a healthy version and while there were okay they did not meet up to the standard I held in my mind.

I used neufchatel cheese and turkey bacon (not nearly as much flavor in either) and to top it off the jalepenos I used had no heat at all.

On the plus, the turkey bacon did brown nicely on the grill and it was very easy. If I did it again I'd probably reserve some of the seeds for kick, and add some garlic powder (at least) to the cheese (or just use cream cheese instead of neufchatel).

I did these straight up last night, and they came out great. Had to bake them in the oven, though, it was raining hard out and I couldn't grill. Like Vormid says, though, leave some seeds in for the heat...
