i used to think he was a bit of a nob jockey as well - but then i met him in "real life" a few years ago and it turned out that he was the complete opposite.. he is charming, friendly and a genuinely funny (and very normal) bloke..
that pleases me, as I really like the way he is with his kids on the show. I know it might just be for the tv, but I hope it isn't
I'd love to cook him a tandoori sea bass.... he'd fukn love it or I'd beat him with a spatula until he bled so much I could make a nice oxtail soup from the drippings...
